Raleigh Local Directory is a directory of businesses serving Raleigh and nearby communities in Wake County and the Triangle. It is operated by Maaz Saleem of Grow More SEO. This policy explains what information is collected when you browse the site, use an account, contact us, or send a request to a listed business.

The directory helps people find local businesses. A listing can be unclaimed or managed by a business owner. You can browse without an account, but an account is needed for owner features such as managing a listing.

Information we collect

When you register or sign in, we collect your name and email address and store a hashed version of your password. We do not store your password in readable form. If you contact us, add a business, claim a listing, or submit a post, we collect the details you provide. A claim may include a callback number or an emailed verification code. A post may be a job, event, or deal.

When you use a service request form, we collect the information described below. Hostinger runs the website and database and may keep standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser details, and pages requested, to deliver and protect the site. Your cookie-banner choice is kept in local storage in your browser. After sign-in, the site uses a secure session cookie that is needed to keep you signed in. We use this cookie only for sign-in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies today. If analytics are added, we will update this page first.

Service requests

When you choose “Request this service” on a listing, we collect your name, phone number, optional email address, the service you need, your preferred day and time window, and your message. For a claimed listing, we send the request to that business by email and show it in the business dashboard. For a listing that has not been claimed, the form tells you before you submit that we will keep the request and pass it on to the business ourselves. We do not sell your details. The business may contact you to arrange the service.

Please include only information needed to explain the work. Do not include payment card details, passwords, government identification numbers, or other sensitive information.

How we use information

We use information to reply to you, verify and correct listings, operate and secure the directory, and pass service requests to businesses as described above. We may use contact details to resolve a problem with a request or listing. We send transactional email only, such as welcome messages, claim codes, password resets, and booking notices. We do not send marketing email unless you give separate consent.

Public and private information

Public listing information can include a business name, niche, city, phone number, website, description added by its owner, hours, services, photos, and posts approved for publication. A post is reviewed before it appears. We show a city or service area rather than a private street address. We do not publish Google ratings or reviews.

Private information includes your account email, hashed password, private address, Google ratings and reviews, and administrator notes. We do not display those details as public listing information. A service request is shared with the relevant business as explained above.

Sharing and retention

Hosting, database, and email services run on Hostinger. We share information with those services as needed to operate the directory and send transactional messages. We do not sell personal data.

We keep contact messages, service requests, and unused claim requests for up to 24 months. We keep an account until you ask us to delete it. Some records may be retained longer if needed to meet a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or protect the site. Server logs are kept according to the host's practices.

Your choices

You can ask to access or correct your information, delete your account, or remove or correct a listing by emailing us or calling us. We act on these requests within 30 days. We may ask for enough information to confirm that the request is yours or that you are authorized to make it. You can clear your cookie-banner choice in your browser's local storage settings.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review it.

Changes and contact
